The RI8 LED retrofit downlight by GE Lighting was designed to help users upgrade their current metal halide, halogen or CFL downlight fixtures with all the benefits that LED brings. The fixture was also made to be used in high ceiling applications, making it a great option for places like auditoriums, shopping malls, convention centers, atriums, and lobbies.

 

Part of the RI Series, the RI8 is an 8 inch round LED retrofit downlight and is rated to last 50,000 hours. The fixture is available in five different wattage/luminosity sets, with the largest emitting 3,460 lumens of 90 CRI light while only using 54 watts of power, with four different color temperatures available. Light can be distributed wide, narrow or medium, depending on your project's needs, and 0-10V dimming down to 10% is available.

 

The RI8 is made of a galvanized steel housing with aluminum reflectors. It is quickly installed with no tools -- its universal mounting frame is installed below the ceiling and affixes to the existing fixture space through three mounting clips.
