Built of heavy-duty die-cast metal that is treated to be rust-proof, the fixture is built to last for illuminating areas such as driveways, parking lots, and work areas in barns, sheds, garages, and utility posts.
The area light fixture replaces 175 watt mercury vapor fixtures. It comes with a 65 watt HighMax CFL lamp with a medium base, and an 85 watt replacement CFL lamp is also available. Rated to last up to 10,000 hours, the fixture comes with a dusk-to-dawn photocell so it can automatically switch on and off for added energy savings. Light can be beamed wide thanks to a 9-inch acrylic diffuser cover, covering up to 16,800 square feet. And cold mornings are no issue thanks to the area light's instant start.
The HighMax Area Light measures 15.60 inches long by 12.48 inches high, weighting only 3.27 pounds. It is UL listed and backed by a one year warranty.
