RAB Lighting offers three different types of 150 watt specification-grade LED high wattage area lights that can be used to replace metal halide fixtures up to 400 watts. All these products use a patent-pending thermal management system to keep operating temperatures low and are backed by a five year warranty.
The LED High Wattage Type II and LED High Wattage Type III Area Lights provide IES Type II and Type III distribution, respectively. Both products were designed for use in parking lots, pathways, roadways, and other general area lighting applications, with the Type III area light being a solution for where a larger pool of lighting is needed. Both fixtures are available in a variety of color temperatures and fixture finishes, and are rated to last for up to 100,000 hours.
And the LED High Wattage Type IV Area Light offers IES Type IV light distribution -- a semi-circular distribution that is basically the same candlepower at lateral angles from 90° to 270°. It can be used to light up parking area perimeters or can be mounted on the sides of buildings and walls. Also lasting 100,000 hours and available in a variety of color temperatures, the Type IV area light is both UL and DLC listed and Dark Sky approved.
