The VHL2 Series features 63,000 hours and is equipped to provide optimal lens retention with twelve newly designed 3-piece captive latches. The VSL4 Series features 89,000 hours and has a viewing Angle of 118°, while the VSL4 garage series has an 88,000 hour life. Both models in the VSL4 series have eight latches for positive lens retention that are designed to be tamper resistant.
These fixtures are designed for use in car washes, entrance lighting, food processing, beverage industry, parking areas, construction sites, industrial lighting, and public access. Each product in these series comes fully protected against dust and moisture and is resistant against ice, corrosion, splashing water, temporary submersion, and hose directed water, making them perfect for cleaning and washdowns. They all feature a one-piece fiberglass body that provides protection against cracking, breaking, and leaking. All vaporproof LED fixtures from Howard Lighting have a 5VA flammability rating.
Both series have several diffuser material options. Option A is 100% virgin impact resistant acrylic that has long lasting clarity and is resistant to weathering. Option F is a deep frosted acrylic lens that is impact resistant. Option P is UV stabilized polycarbonate for maximum impact resistance. Option D, for VSL4 series only, is a clear acrylic deep lens with diffused ends that is impact resistant. For the best thermal performance and smoothest light distribution, a frosted lens is suggested by the manufacturer. These fixtures include highbays, strips, and strips configured for garage use. The fixtures in the LED vaporproof line are gasketed to offer moisture and dust resistant lighting, have a 5 year warranty, and have a 5VA flammability rating. With the long and reliable LED life, maintenance checks and calls are significantly reduced and these fixtures have an average of $49 energy savings per year per VSL4 series fixture, making that an average annual savings of 50.82% over an existing T5 system.
