General Electric, or GE for short, is a company that is well known not only in the United States, but all across the globe. They are one of America’s oldest and biggest businesses, rated as being the fourth largest in the world in 2012, and have been around since the early days of electricity, just when the technology was starting to change human life. Born out of a shared innovative spirit in April 1892, with founders that included the inventor Thomas Edison, GE is involved in various industries around the world, including software, aircraft engine manufacturing, and healthcare.
